Last Saturday, july 8th, the diplomas were given to the students of the first class of the Soil Conservation Practices Course, taught by Professor Kaio Gonçalves Dias, Doctor in soil science at Lavras Federal University (UFLA).
The course taught soil fertility, handling and conservation techniques and lasted 60 hours. Classes happened on Saturday mornings at COOMAP.
Here are some of the subjects dealt: main Brazilian soil degradation ways, right handling and conservation methods and main conservation methods, be them vegetative, mechanical or edaphic.
