COOMAP, together with Senar Minas/Rural Union de Paraguaçu, is offering to employees and cooperative members, a Chainsaw Operation and Maintenance Course. The course lasts 24 hours and 10 participants have signed up for it, with theoretical classes at Dom Bosco sports court and practical ones at a farm. Students are acquiring basic knowledge about chainsaw and its components, assembly and disassembly, chain sharpening, forestry cutting (felling and limbing), the legislation that regulates the use of the equipment, safety and the use of PPE (personal protection equipment), among other lessons learned. The course is taught by the instructor Matheus Costa Andrade. This is another course that COOMAP provides to producers, through good partnerships, seeking to train them for farm activities.
