This week, COOMAP held a course on brushcutter operation and maintenance for its members and their families, which was administered by Senar Minas/Rural Union of Paraguaçu. The training took place in one of the Cooperative’s warehouses, lasting 16 hours, on September 5th and 6th.
In this training, the twelve participants had the opportunity to learn more about brushcutter parts and their functions, and the power system operation, as well as the electrical, transmission, starting systems and the cutting mechanism operation. They even learned how to perform preventive maintenance on the equipment. And in the practical part of the course, the students learned how to operate the brush cutter, paying attention to the importance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
The course also approached topics such as hygiene, health, work safety, taking care of the environment and adequate personal and professional posture, among others.
“The brushcutter is widely used in our region, because of the hills and mountains topography. And in the course we teach the complete mechanics and maintenance part, as well as the operation part, how to work safely and the constant and correct use of PPE”, said Senar instructor Matheus Costa Andrade. This is another one of the courses offered by COOMAP, in order to meet the cooperative member’s needs. COOMAP, for 65 years cultivating work, reaping results.
