COOMAP and Senar Minas/Rural Union of Paraguaçu held this week a Mechanized Crop Spraying Course for cooperative members, their families, and employees. During the course’s 24-hour duration, a lot of knowledge was shared, which includes the types of pesticides, the normative legislation and the use of individual and collective protection equipment (PPE and EPC). In the practical part of the course, the training covered all procedures involving mechanized pesticides spraying. The course instructor, André Pimenta Silva, gives us more details about the course: “The goal is to work on safety measures from the legislation, along with spraying technology – calibration, nozzles adjustment and types of nozzles for each situation -, sprayer maintenance, as well as product packaging storage, transportation and disposal”. The course is held at Poliesportivo Dom Bosco, and the practical training is ministered at Pé de Serra Farm. This is another training that COOMAP provides to its producers and employees, thus contributing to more safety in the field. COOMAP, for 65 years cultivating work, harvesting results.
