What happens when a Chinese meets a Brazilian and one doesn’t speak the other’s language? Do they give up talking and go away? No! They speak English. Nowadays English language is considered an international language for studying, traveling and doing business. Thus, who wants to be a world citizen needs English language.
With this goal in mind, COOMAP started yesterday, November 16th 2016, its first English class group for youngsters who are part of the member’s families. Classes will happen two times a week for three years. During this course, students will learn how to read and write in English in practical classes in which they will use highest quality books. The material was brought to them through a partnership between COOMAP and the world known and respected Cambridge University Press publishing house.
The reason for COOMAP creating this Project is to give youngsters who live in rural areas conditions to have more professional and cultural growing opportunities, like traveling to other countries, expanding their horizons, getting in touch with clients who buy the coffees produced by their families and consequently further our cooperative member’s children and grandchildren wish to continue living in the countryside and see rural activities as something directly connected to international business.
Besides the youngsters’ class, COOMAP will also have a class for its employees.
This is one more of COOMAP’s educational initiatives that aim to promote its members and their families development.
