COOMAP took another opportunity to search for international business opportunities in order to put growers in straight contact with buyers and consequently strengthen COOMAP’s brand. From April 19th to 23rd two members of COOMAP’s staff went to Seattle, USA in order to attend this year’s edition of the SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) exhibition, one of the biggest event in the coffee business. During the exhibit Renato José de Melo, general manager, and Rafael Furtado Fonseca, business manager, searched for new clients and support for COOMAP’s environmental and social projects. Afterwards, both of them headed to Toronto, where they were involved with business rounds and cuppings that happened from April 24thto 28th. Focusing on finding new business opportunities, both COOMAP representatives learned about Canadian logistics and taxes related to products originating from agribusiness.
This is one more COOMAP’s initiative aiming to find the betters results to our co-op members.
