COOMAP held another course for its members last week. This is the course on Maintenance and Operation of Clearing Saws, Chainsaws and Similar/Cutter”, lasting 16 hours. It took place at the São Diogo Neighborhood Association headquarter, both theoretically and practical section. 11 people attended it.
The course is taught by Senar Minas/Rural Union of Paraguaçu, through the instructor Matheus Costa Andrade, with basic, specific and managerial skills as content. In general, the course allows students to know parts that make up cutters, measures related to Waste Management and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Also within the course, students learn how perform preventive maintenance on the machines, how to use lubricant and fuel, and skills about the correct and safe operation of the equipment. In addition to these modules, the course also deals with hygiene, health and safety at work and care for the environment, among other subjects.
