The Balde Cheio Program completed ten years in Paraguaçu, last August, through a partnership between COOMAP, Sindicato Rural and Sicoob Credivar. And at the end of last month, Faemg and Senar members, who are responsible for this project in Minas Gerais, visited COOMAP. The regional manager of Faemg System in Lavras, Rodrigo Ferreira; the coordinator of ATeG Balde Cheio, Rafael Rocha; supervisor of ATeG Balde Cheio in the South and Midwest of Minas Gerais, Alexandre da Silva Prado; and the master consultant in livestock for the ATeG Program, Walter Miguel Ribeiro.
Visitors were welcomed at COOMAP by Renato José de Melo, general manager, Rogério Araújo Pereira, sustainability manager, and Tácio Castilho Carneiro, who is the field technician for the program in the municipality.
Tácio Castilho presented the development of the project at the Demonstration Unit, located on the Santo Antonio farm, in the Cachoeira neighborhood, which belongs to cooperative producers Leonardo da Silva and his son André dos Reis da Silva. Visitors followed all details of the presentation and interacted with many questions and comments about the excellent performance of the program in Paraguaçu.
The main objective of Balde Cheio is to train technical assistance and rural extension professionals, in addition to cattle raisers, in agricultural, zootechnical, managerial and environmental techniques, practices and processes within dairy farming. Thus, the visit of the delegation from Faemg and Senar was aimed at monitoring the development of the technician’s work and checking if he is following the methodology proposed by the Program, in addition to supporting his work.
“We come to the field to see if what is being taught to the technician is really happening. As knowledge changes, things evolve and technologies improve, we have to come and polish it, check what is being done, visit the property and propose things that can be changed to further project improvement”, said the program’s master consultant, Walter Ribeiro.
After the presentation at COOMAP, the delegation went to the Santo Antonio farm, to verify “in loco” results of the Full Bucket on the property. In addition to Paraguaçu, Faemg and Senar teams were in 4 other cities in the region, for a week, during field visits of the ATeG Balde Cheio Program.
