This week, COOMAP is holding the Course on Handicrafts in Fabrics – Underwear, in partnership with Senar Minas and the Rural Union of Paraguaçu. The course lasts 40 hours, and it is taught by Senar instructor Abner Sallem Silva, with the participation of members and also their family members.
Both theoretical and practical classes are taking place at Poliesportivo Dom Bosco. There, participants are learning techniques of how to make bras, panties and briefs. Within the course schedule, students learn to copy molds and separate models, fabric cut, training and technique of nailing the elastic and, finally, the assembly of the pieces.
In addition to making underwear, participants are also learning how to thread and clean machines, adjust stitches, use sneakers and devices for each type of sewing, focused on quality and practicality in day-to-day sewing.
Also within the course, participants are taught the basics of safety at work, preventive measures to maintain health and also take part of a discussion on entrepreneurial characteristics and behaviors necessary for the success of a business.
This course takes place for the second time in less than a year at COOMAP, which is always aware of its role in helping its members and their families generate income by offering training in several professional activities, all of that relying on good partnerships .
