With more than 20 companies presente, COOMAP has its first edition of the Machine and Implement Sales Day in Paraguaçu.
On March, 29th and 30th, COOMAP’s coffee warehouse facilities became a nice exposition area for agricultural machinery. This was the first edition of an event really relevant to our town, whose economy has 50% of its gross income linked to rural activities.
With booths from 23 companies, the first edition of this event drew hundreds of growers from Paraguaçu and surrounding towns to the right environment for closing deals. During the sales days, machinery and vehicles were offered with special conditions. “Growers need to mechanize its crops, look for alternatives to be more efficient, reduce costs and improve his/her coffee quality. The Sales Day is a great opportunity for investing in his/her activity with special conditions”, explained Renato José de Melo, General Manager at COOMAP. “The event offers growers good price and time conditions, which includes an installment plan and exchange for coffee, since this is growers’ currency These were able to buy products and pay it during the next three crops: 2017, 2018 and 2019”, he added.
POSITIVE EVALUATION
This initiative benefits pleased coffee growers from Paraguaçu, who are aware of the need to improve their production continuously. “For us, who live in Paraguaçu, the event is a unique opportunity to buy machines, tractors, implements along with the cooperative. Everything’s going to be easier”, celebrated Sebastião Feliciano.
Exhibitors also have advantages. “Last year we had a Business day in Paraguaçu and it was excelent for our company. This time, having machines exposed joined with the great numbers of members who visited the event, makes everything even better”, said Sergio Coelho, from Pinhalense, that exhibited machines like carts, rookers, harvesters and so on.
CONTINUOUS EXPANSION
The business day in one more action which shows the expansion movement that’s happening at COOMAP, which celebrates 60 years next may. Until some years ago, COOMAP was dedicated only to activities related to coffee crop, however today it works in other areas too. A symbol of this strategy is the new headquarters, which is able to assist not only growers, but the whole community. “The Sales Day is another daring initiative at COOMAP. The importance and magnitude of this event drew lots of people from other towns in the surrounding areas”, evaluated the Cooperative Presindent, Nilson Andrade. “As a matter of fact, what we really want is to bring benefits and attend the needs of our members. This is going to be something constant in our work”, he concluded.
