From september 3rd to 7th at ACIAP headquarter in Paraguaçu it was taught by SEST/SENAT the MOPP course (Dangerous products operation and movement, in Portuguese).
16 people were present at the course, including COOMAP technicians, drivers and service providers.
It includes topics like dangerous projects operation and handling which were divided in 9 classes as follow: explosives, flammable gases, liquids and solids, oxidizing, toxic, radioactive and corrosive substances, totalizing 50 hours of learning.
Professionals who attended the course are able to work with the above mentioned product classes, their operation and handling. They also know 920 ANTT resolution which deals with dangerous substances.
Moreover, the course taught participants to conduct vehicles with appropriate security, defensive driving, first aid, appropriate ANTT legislation, Brazilian traffic laws and even environmental and fire prevention.
Consequently, these professional acquire more knowledge about products they tranport, their risks and right way to handle them, caring for their own security and others’.
