His speech subject was “Coffee crop sustainability and scenario”. Following, Sérgio Brás Regina, who’s also an agronomical engineer at
EMATER, presented some very interesting and useful details about APAS (Alto da Serra Rural Producers Association,, in Portuguese), a success example in associativism and coffee certification. The third speech had the following subject: Liming importance toward soil fertility. It was given by Rodrigo Geraldo Borges, agronomical engineer at the company Solo Fértil. Among coffee growers the circuit evaluation one more time was very positive. “I’ve already took part in the circuit in other towns but in Paraguaçu it has been the first time. The lectures were brilliant and touched growers and expanded our horizons to the coffee market and its technologies”, said Carlos Roberto Paiva, coffee grower and milk producer in the town of Elói Men des. “Nowadays, in general, everybody seeks productivity improvement with sustainability. What we have seen here was exactly it, which is really good to grower” he also said. “I thought the circuit was really useful in order that we continue and improve our work.
